Breakfast is considered as a very important meal. Doctors advise people to never skip breakfast but most working women tend to skip their breakfast due to lack of time. As obvious it may sound, this is not good for their health. Most working women would prefer simple easy to make foods for breakfast.
So here are some easy to make breakfast recipes.
Moong Sprout Salad
You can boil or steam the sprouts and add tomatoes, onions, and lemon juice and chaat masala to it. This salad is very healthy and can be made instantly.
Instant Rava Dosa
Rava dosa is a famous South Indian breakfast dish. First, you have to mix rava and 1/4 cup of buttermilk together and leave the mix for 15-30 minutes. You can do this process during the night also. To prepare the Rava dosa batter, you have to mix flour, rice flour, green chillies, salt and the rava and buttermilk mix, together. And then you can make heat a non-stick Tawa and make your Rava dosa. It takes less than 5 minutes to make a dosa and you can put onions on the dosa while cooking as toppings.
Instant Oats Dosa
Oats is rich in nutrition and is a very healthy food. You have to dry grind the oats and mix flour, sooji, buttermilk, salt, pepper powder and the oats in the right amount of water to make a dosa batter. And then you can make the oats dosa like any other normal dosa, by spreading the batter on a non-stick pan and drizzling oil around it. It takes minimum 10-15 minutes to make the dish.
Tomato Chutney Cheese Sandwich
You have to put butter on your pan or toaster. You can make tomato chutney by blending the tomatoes and heating the tomato puree in a pan with hing, curry leaves, turmeric and sambar powder. You can store this chutney for longer purposes. Then you can take two slices of bread put chutney on them and a cheese slice in between and toast it until crispy.
Banana Oats Smoothie
You need to cook oats in half cup of water and leave it to cool down. And then in a blender, add cooked oats, milk, honey, yoghurt, chopped bananas and blend it. And then you can add chopped walnuts as toppings. This only takes 5 minutes to be prepared.
Semiya Upma (Vermicelli Upma)
First, you need to roast semiya or vermicelli in some ghee. Then you need to heat oil in a pan and add urad dal, hing, red chillies, salt and chopped vegetables to it. And finally, you have to add water and your roasted vermicelli to the pan. The dish only takes 20 minutes to be prepared.
Bread Pancakes / Paniyaram–
First, you have to dip the bread slices in water and mash it. Then in a bowl, you have to mix the mashed bread, curd, salt and sooji and then add water to the mixture to make a pancake/paniyaram batter. You can even add some sautéed onions, chopped curry leaves, hing and green chillies to the batter. Then you can you can make the pancakes in a pancake vessel.
First, cut the bread slices into small pieces and roast them in ghee. Then in a pan heat some oil and add onions, red chillies, ginger, curry leaves, chopped tomatoes, sambar powder, curry powder, mustard seeds and salt. Then you can add the bread pieces to the pan until the bread pieces are perfectly coated with the masala and you can instantly eat it. The dish takes only 10-15 minutes to be prepared.
Take one cup of poha or aval and wash it properly under water, drain the poha and keep it aside leaving it to soften down. Meanwhile, heat some oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, onions, urad dal, green chillies, turmeric powder, salt and cubed potatoes to the pan and sauté it. And then you can add poha to the mixture and serve it by adding some lemon juice to it. The dish is very healthy and takes only 10 minutes to be prepared.
